Love the kpm on my VF and VE
had to redirect my fun funding elsewhere at the moment unfortunately.
oztrack are now also a harrop dealer, so i think i might end up down that route, harrop exhaust, oztrack tune.
and still keen on the mca coilovers. need to find 10k from somewhere.
I've heard rumors of flourishing money trees in Tanami 6770...
Was handy to leave the spray painters a piece of painted plastic to match the new paint. They suggested leaving the car for the day...I just left them the mirror cover.
The paint on all out plastic parts are batched, so matching is guaranteed.
The parts came out really nicely matched.
Did anyone see the short segment in MOTOR (it'd be well over a week old by now) about the 4 GTSR W1 utes they made?
Apparently 4 "very special" customers had the utes built for them, with basically the same gear as the sedans. Cost of the individual cars was something like Lambo money. The reason they didn't do it in production was limited availability of the LS9, it'd have cost too much to build two body-styles and they thought they'd sell the sedans more easily.
Now those would be worth a lot in future! Whether they'd be worth what the owners paid for 'em, though ...
Yeah, saw that. Crazy money.
So Ryan Walkinshaw and who else lol?
A very lucky Queenslander!
I'm intrigued...should I know the answer to this?

Hi mates - proud VF V6 Calais V owner and modification noob here. Im interested in doing minor tweaks to my car to squeeze out a little bit more power - can anyone suggest the best bang for buck mod(s) you can do to a V6 VF, how much more power you might expect and roughly what one might expect to pay a qualified mechanic to undertake the work?
Back in my teenage days you used to be able to put a chip in and maybe an exhaust to squeeze a few more Kw's out the engine - does this still apply to VF's? Whats the cost of this sort of work?
Sorry for the noob-ness, appreciate any help!
NO , these days you buy forced induction. Tune = run E85, crank up the boost and timing = power..........
I just installed a Narva H7 12/24V LED conversion kit as well as the H7 Canbus module in my VF2 SV6. After about 30mins of driving at night a error code("check right/left dipped beam lamp” ) popped up on my dash twice then went away. Just wondering how I can stop/fix these error codes from happening again and what are the consequences of this code.
The V6 in the VF responds well to a Tune, typically most people get a Tune + OTR cold air intake and exhaust.
With just a tune and the use of 98 octane i achieved an increased power output of over 270kw/450nm (Basically a series 1 V8), but not all engines will perform equally as well all things considered. For price, a tune is roughly 1k, with cold air intake and exhaust, between 1.5-3k.
Thanks mate - appreciate the clear response!
This is interesting.
