Actually that kinda says something about the value of cars these days compared to the 80's, doesn't it? Can't be many non-exotic 15yo cars which wouldn't just be written-off after a total-respray hail storm these days.

Says more about the cost of parts and labour rather than car value.

I'd agree, if I didn't remember how decrepit & old a $5k car was back then, and the fact that a new 1986 Corolla with 4spd manual & no aircon was about the same money as a 2016 Corolla which uses less fuel & goes much better & has massively better safety & heaps more room ... and there's been 30 year's worth of inflation in between.

They have only made 2 so far an SV6 and The SSV which is mine. I should be getting it this week its going off to the car dealer tomorrow I did hear that are going to make some this week sometime
