Hi All. Wondering if there are any issues with replacing VF Series 1 SV6 Sedan bonnet with a SS Bonnet with the vents. Thanks in advance. Mick H

Can't answer the question, there may be gotchas (eg. different leading-edge shape between Series I & Series II) but not that I'm aware of …

Do be aware that it has to be a VF-II bonnet, no VF had the vents.

I'd be concerned about paint-colour mismatches, unless you're just going to wrap or paint the bonnet black (but you won't notice the vents if you do that - probably a waste of your time/money in that case!).

Thanks Forg. So only VF Series 2 have the vents !! Are the vents only on SS models? I'm happy to go with the spray job as my current VF Series 1 has damage to the paint work.

Can anyone else out there add there comments. Much appreciated if you can.

I believe it's a straight swap over. Non V8 Series II had the same bonnet as all series I. You could always cut your Series I bonnet and insert the vents.

It's not so easy as the vents sit in a recess.

All V8 VF2’s have the vents, BTW.

Not all S2 V8 as the calais didn't get the bonnet vents, only the director, SS, SSV, SSVR and HSV range

My bad - thought the Calais did too.
So their ‘sports range’ then I guess, the SS & up.
