I live in a very hilly area of the world, 700m above sea level. I guess around town, with my heavy foot, it's chewing through 16.9l/100km and on the highway somewhere in the 10's. I'll be interested to see how much worse it gets with the addition of a cam.
Oh it gets worse. I was around 18/100km in my LSA. Added the Walky W557 kit. Now in the city about 27/100km. It is going back to the tuner this weekend as they expect around 18/19. Needs the short fuel trims adjusted at slight throttle which is city usage. On the freeway it isn't bad. Lord knows what it would do if you tracked it. Car itself goes like a missile.

Any level of fun going up the range will certainly suck it down.

Yeah, I’m think my MSE has some fault with it; possibly has a big hole in the tank where fuel sloshes out when having a little (sane) fun on a quiet road ;)

Which setting is that on? 100 kms or 25?
Good question, whatever the default is I haven't changed it I'll have a look when I go out later today. However, if it was on 25kms would that mean I'm getting 24.4 on a long run, likely not or at least I hope not...

Seriously though, I think its the same it just measures the economy over a that last 25, 50 or 100km and as I'd travelled about 700km carefully and with cruise control on along the Hume I don't think it will have any bearing. I'll give that a try on my next long run.

On a run from Mindarie to Baldivis and back yesterday, a total distance of 170km, mainly freeway driving at 100kmh the MSE made 8.8L averaged over 100km. By comparison my ‘94 LTD (6 cylinder) does 11.2 under the same conditions.

Yes it measures on the last 25, 100 or 500. I was trying to work out what you meant by 24.4 now I get it. EG 25 would be 6.8l/100km

With cam installed, fuel consumption rose by 2L/100km in all situations except idle, which rose by 1L, from 2.1 - 3.1

Not at all unhappy about 9.5L on the open highway.

My vf2 idles at around 3.2l/hr and drops to around 2.8 after driving for around 2-4min. Is this similar to what others are seeing, im getting less than 400km (~380) to a tank, granted its quick trips (less than 10km) 90% time, but concerned something not right as i used to get 450-500km. Highway driving different story average around 7-8l/100km. Car is not cammed but tuned (basically w375)

Interesting, mine was same, now with cam added to W375, it idles in neutral at 3.1l/hr and idling in drive (braked and not moving) at 3.8l/hr. I still get 440 on highway and as low as 300 in town, but with 422kw it's a heavy foot and fun for me.
