I can't say much about the VF, but I know with VEs the Aux Jack on Series 1 units is prone to fail. Both AUX Jacks on both VEs i've owned have had the same issue with bad solder joints.

Considering the prices that Holden are going to charge for a MyLink unit replacement, perhaps it might be a good idea to consider an aftermarket stereo upgrade? They provide better sound and allow for greater expandability than the OEM units anyways.

This kit allows you to install an aftermarket head unit whilst also retaining all the OEM SWC and climate controls. Or alternatively, if you want to go full-blown android and have a standalone experience...

I have one of their VE units in my ute, and it's pretty baller.
