You can order them online and super cheap sell one. Not sure how well it will fit being universal. My friend fitted one he ordered online to his VF GTS and has since gone back to the original set up with bee sting as the shark fin was not very good with sat Nav and reception in country areas.
All up he spent about $130 on it including getting installed and in the same colour as his car.

Got myself a genuine Chevy SS shark fin, yet to fit it to my redline as it has been built yet.

Saw this on ebay through a Holden dealer - not as sleek as a shark fin but compatibility with GPS would be good if you want something shorter?

Does it work as well as the original aerial?

I haven't tried one but have been told it's not good with sat Nav and radio can drop out in certain areas with average reception

I prefer the little screw in one above. Available on eBay for $20- $30. Not as good as factory aerial. But fine in the city and regional towns. I keep my factory one in the boot and screw it in when traveling.

I've had the walkie for about a year. I'm on the Central Coast and the radio reception is only a little bit weaker. I've only used the sat nav a few times but had no problems at all. I'd still like to get the Chevy SS shark fin, but it's a pita to fit because you have to remove the head lining.

I tried one of the Bee-Sting Antennas, in short - don't waste your money.

A smaller aerial can not be better or as good as a large one, otherwise you wouldn't have large aerials on anything that was trying to receive signals long range. Size matters.

I'm not even sure I can be bothered returning it so if anyone wants to try it, I'll post it on.

I had a bee sting antenna on my VE... driving around Canberra (being so hilly) it affected radio reception tremendously. I gave it to someone else and put the factory one on... much better.

These small antennae may be ok for big metro areas (although it will still be affected in amongst tall buildings), but not the best as soon as you drive elsewhere.

It has been said many times, but replacing the screw on antenna has ZERO effect on the GPS. The GPS receiver is built into the antenna base. That's why they are significantly larger than those VF's that do not have SAT NAV fitted.

Have asked the guys at Pace Performance who do the shark fin add on for the VE. They are currently developing a new one that is wider to accommodate the larger VF base that should be available later this year. I would prefer that over the bee sting! :)
