Hey guys I've finally gotten around to getting a tune package on my ute in the coming weeks and I am slowly learning about engines and mods myself, I was wondering if there's any mods I can do as a beginner or even an amateur so I can learn more about my car and engine, thanks in advance

Yea im thinking about that, I live in Brisbane and I was thinking about going to Hi Torque on the Gold Coast for their stage 1, its $2500 for a 2.5 inch hurricane system, otr and a tune.
Maybe I can do the otr and exhaust myself and just get the tune done there

Do OTR first - easy as!
If you're confident, then do exhaust - a bit harder.
Then you need to get it tuned.

better you do get most common mods done all at once and save money not paying for future retunes
best to pay buy a otr, brand name extractors and a 2 1/2 or 3inch sports exhaust
and get it tuned once with these basic mods done once and all together
once you get the taste for speed you will just want more so best do these simple mods and tune all at once
other wise , say you get a tune , then months later want louder exhaust so fit extractors , sports exhaust you will need another retune
to get full benefit, max power
same with fitting a otr it needs tune to get max HP
so do some research , a stage 1 mod is really a otr, extractors and performance cat back exhaust
just buy australian made products and you carnt go wrong
