FA7560AE-FBCF-465C-B38F-A54A3F91BC01.jpeg Hi everyone I checked my coolant today and found this yellow gunk in the recovery bottle with the coolant had a look in the radiator and is clean none of it in there also engine oil is clean so has anyone had this stuff in their recovery bottle the car is a 2015 Vf ssv thanks

that looks like the crap you get when oil and coolant combine, I'd be monitoring it very closely and possibly raise the issue with your Holden stealership if the car is under warranty.

What does the coolant look like in the radiator ? Similar gunk on the cap ?

yes its a auto and no crap in radiator or cap looks like its the dex cool stuff only in coolant recovery bottle

Dexcool does tend to do that in contact with air. If it is just in the overflow bottle no need to worry about it.
When did you have the full coolant flush last ?

Haven't flushed yet car is still under warranty it started off as yellow crusty stuff in there also thanks guys for replying also noticed on club VF face book some guys having the same issue in there ss that's why I'm thinking its just the coolant even the engine oil is good thought maybe its just the way it is

Maybe he's driving a Ford hybrid and the trans is doing it's thing.

so it’s normal to have that yellow crusty crap in the overflow bottle rest of the other stuff is normal radiator ,engine oil is clean
