I want to take a drive and load my boot up with some roof tiles.

What kind of weight can the car carry? I'm looking at about 450 kilos.

Cheers for any advice

Unless I weighed 30kg, I reckon I'd be doing it in two trips or borrowing a trailer. :)

Really? Some of us actually need the car for a purpose. If your worried youl scratch your car then don't drive it. It's good to look after nice things but expect **** to happen.

Nothing bent that you’re yet to notice  Seriously, isn’t 1.6t around twice the allowable tray weight?

With 1.6t in the Ute, just consider yourself lucky that you didn’t have to swerve to avoid hitting something (another car) or someone (a pedestrian or bicyclist) Overloading to such an extent would likely make you liable if something or someone was clobbered. It could all result in serious repercussions so it’s good to recognise a (not overloaded) trailer as the better option ;)

Was very niave of me! But you learn as you go.

Also a testament for how good these cars actually are! Always nick picky things but on the whole it's a awesome car
