Looking into getting a decent car for the misses (and me)
I'm currently driving a 1991 Hilux to and from work so I'm looking for something nice, fast but not ridiculous on fuel

So we've found the 2013 vf sv6 and the calais V
We're stuck on making a decision

Both cars are really nice, interior and exterior, and power but the sv6 interior is nicer, all black
Pretty much the reason the sv6 is slightly more of our choice
The black and ivory in the calais is hideous

The calais V is slightly more expensive, but it has more, such as keyless start and a sunroof, but we can live without things like that

So what do you guys think?

Vf sv6 or vf Calais V?

Maybe if you go the SV6 look for a Storm model. Get a few extras. My missus wasn't a huge fan of the calais interior either

I think the calais V will have sat nav , bose stereo, head up display, fog lamps, lane departure, collision avoidance, 19 inch wheels, heated seats and it can be had with the same interior as SSV redline. ( black with cream stripe).

Probably forgot stuff.

You cant compare an SV6 with calais V. The calais has so much more.

I have the SV6 and couldnt be happier.

Yes the calais has some extras, but they aren't essentials.
Definitely Calais V. No comparison.

Sounds to me like the SV6 has the lead in your mind , if you don't like the Calais, in black and ivory , its you who'll have to live with it , and by the sounds of it you'll not be happy .

Yea we definitely know the Calais is a much better choice, and the price difference isn't too bad

But at the moment she's driving a yaris, so either an sv6 or calais will make her happy

We'll have to take them for a test drive and see if the ivory is really that bad
The all black looks great

Yea we definitely know the Calais is a better car

But she's driving a yaris at the moment, so she'll be very happy with either

We'll have to take them both for a drive and see if the interior is really a bother haha

Ah , I see. You have a second hand one in mind and it already has the beige interior. UMM. yeh I dont like that interior either. And you drive the car from the inside and have to look at it all the time.

If you arent sure then dont buy it. If you really like the features of the V over the SV6 then wait for another car. If not just get the SV6.

Quite like the Ivory myself but understand it is a matter of taste. It is something different to the plain black that everyone seems to be offering these days. If you can't live with it would wait for another Calais V rather than getting the "Kingswood" of the range.
