the problem is different rims and tyres produce different speeds . I put 20" rims on mine that use 30 profile as standard on the rear which would have kept my speedo 3 or 4 k's above but i used 35 profile tyres and according to my gps , gps and speedo both read 100kph . I recently changed tyre brands with all the same spec but my gps now says i do about 101kph when my speedo says 100yeah I know, but 4%!. I'll bet they could have done better.
The fact that of my previous 3 holden, the worst was 1% suggests they have the technology to do it.
