Jimmy Johnson wins at Daytona in "our" VF
I'm not hating here....But the cars all have a standard body template and basic chassis. They just have minor variations to "look' like production cars. Think doorslammer drag cars.
Only the drivetrain is manufacturer specific.
I watched all of that race and of course was rooting for the pole sitter. Got swamped on the last lap, otherwise she would have been on the podium.
If you were paying attention before the race started there were our VFs there in LHD guise. Looked good.
The yanky version of the VF got a great review on the Nascar show before the race. I think the yanks are liking the Aussie built rear wheel drive V8's.
This years nascar is a body by the manufacturer, not a template.
Chassis, engines and weights are regulated.
More in the headlines, more holden exports, more secure jobs are and more of a selling point can be used for aussie land also.
Great publicity for Chevrolet, the pace car looked great and this win will guarantee the attention they were after for sure!
Nyuck nyuck nyuck nyuck.
