Most of the build cost (parts) added nothing to power or torque. LSA crank, rods etc etc.

Yes a lot of parts were to add strength and balance to help it rev freely and improve longevity.

I amended the torque figures I quoted @ 3500rpm in my last post as I mistakenly quoted lbft for kW.

Intetesting which Coyote engine this is as the standard spins to a 7k rpm cut off and the Boss to 7.5k rpm.

The Voodoo is a stroked Coyote bored out to 5.2l with a flat plane crank that spins up to 8k rpm.

So a 7.6k rpm cutoff is definitely a worked Coyote or Boss to some extent but doesn't represent the pinnacle of what's placed in a Mustang.

Now the Falcon's Coyote's were all blown engines which are in a different league all together to these N/A counterparts.

LS3
556.3hp / 414.8kW @ 6500rpm
498.0lbft / 675.2Nm @ 5000rpm

Coyote
510.4hp / 380.6kW @ 7600rpm
398.4lbft / 540.2Nm @ 5400rpm

LS3 Cam
231 intake – 247 exhaust
0.617 intake lift – 0.624 exhaust lift

That's my kind of cam, a nice smallish medium size.

It's a pity they didn’t show the curve under 3500rpm as the LS3 was making around 425lbft / 576Nm by then.

Of course Snow. But that would be a stupid comparison. Not that you were suggesting that.
That 5.2 sounds like a highly strung canine.

Watch "2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R vs. 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 - Head 2 Head Ep. 71" on YouTube

For your automotive pleasure it's pitted against the mighty big cubes of the LS7 in the Camaro. ☺

Wonder what numbers a similarly built Hemi 6.4 would make?

I drove a Chrysler 300 SRT8 for a week not long before getting my VFII SSVR and the stock 6.4 in that feels like it has so much more low and midrange torque than the Commodore and it weighs about 200kg more. Everything else about the SSVR is better but I would take that engine for sure.

More. But still not as vesatile or adaptable as the LS. I love my Hemi's. But the LS is a superior motor in my opinion.

Totally agree, beast of an engine (makes the ls feel so whimpy stock for stock) and auto 9 speed auto box - helps with all that pork.
Vf r just in another league every where else
