I have a VH, 304, VS brake booster, VT master cylinder. It has vl turbo brakes/rotors.
I want reliable stopping power to handle a 300+rwkw turbo 304 and take it occasional racing.
K mac sell a 356, 8 pot for $2300. Id rather do it once and do it right. What are your suggestions? Anything I can build cheaper?

there's heaps of strong brake packages out there. Some of the Willow kits are great performers at a reasonable price
Don't get too caught up on the number of pistons. More pistons doesn't necessarily equate to better brakes.
In most cases, a good 4 piston brake caliper combined with a large diameter rotor, good quality pads and brake fluid will be more than up to the task.

Might be worth chasing up a set of second hand late model HSV rotors and calipers and then source some adapter brackets to suit.
The likes of Race Brakes Sydney sell a lot of adapter plates etc
