Your VN rack will work. I used one in my VH.
You will just need to get the intermediate shaft from a VL to marry up your steering column and the VN rack as the VN rack has a smaller steering knuckle setup. (Or whatever its called....)
Sorry by VN steering rack do you mean the K frame? The K frame will fit. You use the original VH steering column, and you use the VL part to join them together.
