nice car for a first one at 16! got a very clean VH SL 3.3 202 with under 100.000 kays, sad thing is it's up Queensland and I am down South Australia until this house sells then I can finally get to work on my new toy.

Opinions would really be appreciated and considered, my plans so far is to put a 2 1/2 exhaust with a straight through muffler, 17inch vy ss wheels, super lows, and just to tidy up the engine bay. This car is now fully road worthy so any spare money is going on looks, improving performance, etc.. Opinions and ideas please?!

she looks micky mouse champ.
Only thing i would do to her is put a sl/e rear bar on her.

The rear 1/4's on vb-vh's always look unfinished without the sl/e bar. Doesn't need to have the over-riders but the 1/4 panel extensions help the overall look of the car.

Otherwise, i'd leave her as she is.

the sl/e and calais window trims are hard to get in good condition.
It's also difficult to get a window installer to put em on right (they came factory in black on my ss and the rear refuses to sit right and the front was a hit and miss to get it redone properly)
The require a different window rubber but that's not really an issue.

Nice first car mate, I love to mod and change things but this is in such good original condition leave it pretty much as is. With the exception of perhaps a couple of SL/E bits here and there.

it appears someone really looked after this car. Looks like it's been garaged. Does the A/C work ?

great find, still has the original radio. If you upgrade the head unit, then don't chuck the old radio in the bin, keep it aside they are getting hard to find now and some restorers will pay reasonable money for them

if you are going to go a bigger exhaust, make sure you include a resonator to keep the drone down. You can make a 6 cyl sound half decent with a resonator fitted on the back.

Otherwise yeah, don't go too over the top but don't be afraid to make it your own

Thanks Darren, I haven't even checked the A/C out to be honest but seeing as everything else is working great I assume. An yeah I am planning on keeping everything off the car when I change it all back eventually
