VH SLE Blue/Silver 4.2 Trimatic into a Holden 355/Toploader/9 Inch

This thread is just to upload some pics of my VH SLE build,
As standard it is a Shadow Tone Blue/Silver 253, Trimatic, all original interior (except steering wheel)

I purchased the car about a year ago, since then I have just cleaned up the exterior a bit, put some walkies on it and some SL Kingsprings.

Also, I spent some time late last year finding all the parts to convert my Trimatic to a 4 speed Top Loader, finally in Jan this year I had my VH manual! This is my second VH SLE, my first was a blue/silver with a 3.3L when i first got my licence!

Now that the toploader has gone in, the next step will be to put a holden 355 stroker, 9 inch diff.. Im also hunting around for a clean VN drop tank to put in

At the time I couldn't get the proper cover plate for the tunnel, so i ended up just cutting up some 3mm plate and covering the hole up..
Also had to make a custom bracket so the shifter would come out in the middle of the console.. I was going to floor mount the shifter but ended up just manufacturing a bracket so it would all work

If anyone in Melbourne can recommend a good company to get the vinyl on the centre console pulled tight then please let me know

While this thread is up i may as well show you my old VH 3.3L which i sold in 2005, I really miss the Momo Star Wheels!

I'm not so keen on tinted tail lights anymore! lol young and dumb! typical p plater haha
