as for your console i dont know a place in melb but there is a good joint in syd that i have used before called the dash doctor

They are heavy powersucking things man unless u have huuuuuge power imo a 9" is unnessesary

Tidy toploader shifter fit, most I've seen look terrible.

Are those bw diffs in the vls all the same or did the strong ones only come out in the turbo and 5l models?

You need a VL Turbo (3.45:1) or VL 5 litre (3.08:1) diff as they are the ones with 28 spline axles. Normal 6 cylinder VL diffs are only 25 spline (junk).

While i agree with what has been said above about a 9" not being needed in most applications, if you want a diff that has an abundance of ratios available new and just about any type of diff centre you can possibly think of, then you can't go past a 9" IMO. You can buy absolutely everything for a 9" brand new these days and it's dirt cheap, the same can't be said for a Borg Warner.
