Vh ss model vh8vk69-xv2 group 3 or not ???

I have just bought a vh ss and I am trying to work out if it is a group three or not any help would be appreciated

model VH8VK69-XV2
body 581839-A
trim 1980-79T
paint 1F 075-D
built DEC 82
ENG L31
TRANS M21
AXLE GU4

I have been told the vh built either side of this one were both badged hdt by brock
but I am a little confused as everything i've read about engine code L31 (308) says this was only a group three option
OR WAS IT ??? Did they release any group three's that were not badged HDT???

All Group 1's, 2's and 3's are HDT only.

Do you know how I could find out the original dealership that sold this car?
And do you know how many VHSS HDT group 3 where built ?

Original dealer, only if you trace owners yourself. As for how many genuine Grp 3 VH SS,s, not sure prob 150+
