ok this is kinda hard to explain, say in a truck maybe when they throw in a higher gear that sorta rrr noise they make sounds like a grindy vibration when you load it up, or a 4wd does it too older ones well i have a vt, v6, ecotec had a clutch replacement by a mechanic who went bust roughly a year ago, ever since new clutch went in its made this noise, ive since put a new gearbox in too and still have it, and it used to to do it in higher gears, now i can alleviate the noise but when i let the clutch out, just feather it in n out slightly and i can get it to do it, it only does it on more loads like esp a hill start, or say u go roun da round about a lil slow in 3rd it does it, back to 2nd and its gone!
Check that the sump isn't touching the cross member (due to sagged, but NOT buggered, engine mounts). Had similar problem with my bus, fixed it by fitting a 1/4" (6mm) packer under each mount. Pablo
