just for you blokes that are wondering... all you need is some expirience or someone with expirience with cars and a gregory's manual of your car and your set. I personally converted my brothers vp calais to manual and got it done in about 4 hours, plus ran into a few probs. The flywheel was a bit rusty so we had to get it machined down and polished. He's had it in there for just about 2 years now and it hasnt caused a prob yet.

lay down a few questions i might be able to help you blokes out..
(it can go on a vs but goodluck you will run into problems)

I think i should clear up that THIS WILL FIT ONTO A VS V6 SERIES 1 ECOTEC!!!!!

Also $1700 labour is DAYLIGHT ROBBERY, honestly, a good tranny shop could do it for ya, for way less than that. Hell, it took me and a m8 less than a day to convert his VP, ripped engine out and all to do it, much easier with engine out.

i think vs v6 series one used the same flywheel and gearbox as vn series 2 upwards, not 100% sure but i think thats what jon means

different bellhousing, loom and computer it wont fit without modification

VN series 2 to VR will fit series 1 VS, the auto computer can be used with the manual with some modifications

you got PM anyway mate
