No they don't. It can be a trip to Holden to get new ones. Theres a thread on it with part numbers. They normally break.

The leak would be most likely that top edge on the intake I posted earlier in the thread.

Ours never leaked but after reinstalling it, it did. A bit of sealant in there between the firewall and the seal and all good.

Remove the glove box, remove the fan assembly from the ducting and have a look for evidence of water through the dust. That's another clue.

The drain, it has a loose opening at the bottom (like that chick you used to go with :p ) and once you clear it, all the debris just falls out. It can't really get blocked.

The image was posted by an American with lefthand drive, but its the same clip part numbers.

Yes, it will be running down the back of the plastic wheel well shroud and out to that point.
No harm for your own peace of mind to remove that and see for yourself. Take the wheel off to make it easy.

The other spot is where the TXV is. You can see that area with the grey seal. Not much can be done about that.

That is the two places. The air intake on the left, and the TXV AC mounting point.

While you're in there check for at least 1 tiny drain hole that gets blocked with dirt as well. I use whipper snipper cord to clear mine

Yeah, there was a short piece of hose that comes from a hole on the far passenger side of the upper section near the mesh. Cleared it as well.
It would be nice if this area being cleaned out meant no more wet carpet.
Unfortunately Murphy's Law will probably apply where as per Fu Manchu's suggestions half the car has to be pulled to bits to find the actual culprit.
That's way above my pay grade.

Another thought.

#1 son and his mate replaced the stereo head & fascia unit (which also controls the A/C) a few months ago;

Could they have stuffed something up in their youthful exuberance which could cause a leak?
