here is the way to read VIN plates
for example:
6H8VXV35F1L123456 Here goes:
6H8 is World manufacturer identifier (6H8 is holden)
VX is model code
X is luxury model (K=executive,L=berlina,X=calais)
35 is body style code (69=wagon,35=wagon)
F is engine code(A=3800 V6,F=Gen 3 V8, R=3800 V6 supercharged)
1 is model year code:1=2001,2=2002 etc
L123456 is the sequential production number, also called Holden 'tag' number

V6 engine (H), this is also the 2nd letter of the engine number.
model year of 1991(M) model year means it was built between 1/9/90 & 31/8/91),
L is the Elizabeth (SA) production line,
and the last 6 is the sequential production serial number.

So what happens now if some Retard wants to go a Police station and cause you a world of head aches by reporting that VIN as STOLEN?

At the very least, you will be arrested next time you are done for a Randon RBT! Now you have publicly advertised your VIN, you leave yourself open to abuse!

Everyone else, please do not advertise your VIN on a public web site! There is nothing stopping Retards from reporting your VIN as stolen, annonymously, then you might loose your house, your kids, etc

I'm thinking it's like the Credit Reporting system, no liability - but able to get you arrested.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong!
