Hi guys Im after some information on whether anyone has managed to get the aftermarket Aerpro antenna working with the existing electric antenna module for specifically the VK Commodore. I have complete setup from harness, to brand new module and connectors that go with it but not sure whether the VK requires diodes or whether its just plug and play. I do want to be able to control it from the dash switches also.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You will need a semi automatic electric aerial to control it from the dash switch, which as far as I know are very rare and extremely hard to come by. There is a thread on here which describes how to modify a fully automatic aerial but an auto elec I took it to said it won't work (never tried it myself as I know nothing about electrics); the chap who wrote the thread said it worked for him.

I have also been told by Auto Elecs the module is controlled by the original SL/E tape deck and aftermarket versions do not support the semi automatic functionality.

Great to see Semi Auto aerials are available again (I gave up a while back). Now all I need is an original tape deck unit and I am back in business!!!

Don't know about that its just a + signal wire so the buttons can activate. You should be able to run the wire to accessories all the switch does is reverse the polarity.
