vk calais dash blown

Hi guys, so heres the situation. A while back I shorted my battery by accident and the dash blew. The replacement has been working great, however I have just put in a 105 amp alternator (with the battery out of the car) and now the dash wont work at all. Also there was a beeping sound coming from the inside when I first turned the key.
Can these dash boards be fixed? I really appreciate any help/knowledge I can get.

what sort of 105A alternator? have you hooked up the battery warning light?

I hooked it up just like my old one was. One red cable screws down to the back and another one clipped in

just thinking that if the batt warning light isnt connected, the alt wouldnt be getting 'excited' and not charging. low volts could be the cause of the cluster error.

so can i confirm:

you blew a dash
replaced it
new dash worked fine
replaced alternator
dash stopped working

?

Yeah pretty much man. I hadthe second dash in for a few years before it blew recently.
Does sanyone know how to fix these?

now and then we fix those vk calais dashes at work but they are the worst dash to work on and usually cost a bit to do IF they are even fixable, id say try to find another second hand first that works will probably be cheaper...
