Vk calais dash swap.

I have a 85' vk SL rolling shell was a factory est. I want to put the calais dash and surround in which i have sitting here. How hard is it to put the electronic dash in and connect it up? Is there any difference in the dash looms. Small things like that.. That i might need to change or look for or whatever. Any little hints and tips would be greatly appreciated. Tia

Just bought an original 85' SL shell. Had the analogue dash in it but had been ripped out before i bought it. I have an original calais electronic dash and surround that i want to put in. Besides needing the transducer is there anything else that is different? That i would need to get it working. Tia

You'll need the loom that connects to the digital dash as the plugs are different for digital and analogue.

hunt down the factory VK manual if you can, it has the routing of the looms, wiring diagrams etc, so you'll be able to compare the digital and analogue ones.

I have the haynes repair manual covering vb through to vk. It has the wiring diagrams but only for the analogue dash unfortunately. So doesnt include the transducer or anything like in the diagrams. More for the carbed version which sucks
