VK column shift conversion

I realise it would be a bitch of a job (& I'm not a car expert) but I was wondering how hard it would be to put a column shift setup in a VK or similar model & how one might do it. It's just an idea that keeps swimming around in my head.

Did a WB come with one? that would be your best bet for parts else a combo of HJ/HX with WB and VK parts im sure it could be done but why the hell would anyone want to

That I'm not sure of. Haha just one of those things, never seen it done and I like column shifters. Its when I saw a post on a VK ute conversion that I got the idea.

They did they just called it an executive without the column shift.

No I mean bench seat, no carpet, no arm rests, no temp gauge etc (and maybe even optional heater....) The VK exec was luxury compared to the Belmont.

I've seen VN/VP columns put in earlier Commodores without too much drama and they had column shift (autos at least, not sure about manual?) in the utes
