Vk ecu

Probably dumb question but I've never done wiring **** with cars aside from direct replace wire for wire. What exactly is the ecu in vk's for? Do I need it seeing I'm going to be running an ls2 with msd box and carby?

the vk ecu runs the engine efi system
Ls2 has its own ecu to run efi engine management
A 6cyl ecu wouldn't run the ls v8

So seeing im running carbed blown with msd I can remove ecu completely

Yeah just needs the msd box to run the coils. Know all that bit wasnt sure if removing ecu would hinder any other wiring
