VK EFI 6 Economy

I'm considering driving to summernats from Adelaide in january..

Around town i usually get around 250km out of a tank :ranting: but i have a bit of a heavy foot off of the lights :embarrass

My car at 100-110 sits on around 2,500RPM

Would anyone be able to estimate what kind of kms i would be expecting out of a tank driving at constant 100-110?

I will have a person in the passenger seat, so they will chip in for fuel along the way..

I've been told its about 1200KMs to canberra.. and if it's going to cost too much in fuel i'll probably just not go.

well if its anything like my vk efi i'd guess anywhere from 10-15L/100kms too hard to say really ....

sitting at 90 -100 should make ur fuel spread out allot more then 110+

You could even travel at night, it's more dangerous yes, but there's less traffic and if you live in a cold place your car will love sucking in the midnight cold air

I used 5 tanks in my magna adel to melb, driving around for nearly 2 weeks to & from the royal show & then home again.

could never do that in the VK.....

And what makes your engine any better?

A point I would like to make - Street Machine got 175kw from an efi 202 with simple bolt on / change out stuff, and that was on a blue 202 refreshed to factory specs. :coolpimp:

I gues im a purist, not like those who drive Japanese powered commodores. :flame:
