The VK was the first entirely Aussie built car with an electronic fuel injection system, unfortunately they used it in conjunction with the 202. As for problems I am not sure, never owned one, but many members on here have, or have had them and know them inside and out and I'm sure they will give you their opinion. Alternativley you can do a search and you will probably get quite a few hits.
If you do the right things to them, the 308 is a solid and robust engine. They are not bad stock also IMO, albiet down on grunt.
Well in my opinion I loved the old injected 202! Standard they got good throttle response and pretty quick (for an old engine that is) but as far as modifying the efi 202 performance wise can be a real head fuc. Hence why I'm doing things like v6 conversions and about to start an injected v8 conversion. Any more questions just fire away
