VZ Calais Impounded?
This is what info i found on the 308 V8
HQ Holden Specifications

240bhp ( 179kw) ??
is this the same engine that went into the VK's, and/or 84' Calais' ??

V6 Conversion ... um to be honest will be out of the question .. I now own an ecotec motor Stock 147kw and im getting bored with it . I wouldnt dream of putting one in a VK or anything older than a VS for that matter lol
The VN-VR Buick engine is a great engine .. Id just like to try an older engine to work on down the track.

I think 179kw is a bit of a stretch, as posted above 125kw sounds more like it. The VK had a black carb 308 and the HQ had a red 308. There are differences, but I think the black motor had a higher output.

I could be here and tell you the power outputs on all of the V8s in VKs. From the might Grp A 200kW to the 117kw to the base 304 motor.

I think it depends on the motor.
A good carby fed 202 is fine. Not many good carbed 202's though. Even less EFI 202's though.
