VK serial number/body number

Hey all,

Probably been asked a thousand times but finding some conflicting information.
Should the last 6 numbers on the serial number plate (the one on the plate on the nose cone) match the last 6 numbers on the strut tower?
Or should they match the body number on the compliance plate.
Looking at buying a wagon and the last 6 match the body number on the comp plate and not the stamped characters on the strut tower...

Just wondering if this is dodgy???

No, the chassis number on strut tower with match the number on the safety compliance plate, both are chassis number.
The Production Sequence number on the plate on the nose will match body number on the main ID plate.
