Hiya,

I've got a major problem with wiring up a new headunit....
As you can see from the pic below, l only have 4 wires with the antenna.

Light Blue
Grey
Black
Green

Was wondering if anyone had any ideas?
I have spoken to the wreckers, who told me that the VK was originally fitted with a mono deck.

I'm open to any suggestions.

Cheers!

im not very 'car wiring' intelligent.
I figured that l would need to rewire....... but l'm not even sure where to start.

Ahhh l'll just take it to a auto electrician! he can deal with it!

ah dont be lazy :p you dont have to find stock speaker wire colors as a start, just + on head unit to + on speaker and so on. use a test light or multimeter to find power wires and bobs your uncle. im 15 and been doing backyard business for a while now.. cant be too hard :whistling do you have any basic soldering skill?

dont worry about it. just snip, strip and solder then wrap em in some electrical tape or heat shrink.. and hope that it was the right wire :p all you need to really worry about is the 3 main power wires, one is the Constant 12v, one is the Accosories and the other is the Earth which gets grounded directly to the chassis so really its only two wires to worry about and if anything goes wrong like it shorts out somewhere it will blow a fuse, and if you confuse them you will know because you will lose your presets/settings when you turn off the ignition. just give it a go
