    HI, need some help on finding the correct size resistor to reduce the voltage to my tacho at 12 volts or less, reason being my VK has a V6 and the V6 tacho signal is not strong enough to drive the tacho when it has full volts (around 14) with the engine running, but as soon as you disconnect the alternator the tacho springs to life and as far a i can tell is accurate. either a resistor or a regulator of some kind would be good.

    Please help, google turns no results on this.

    That'd do the job mate, I made the older one to get a constant 5V and works a treat.

    Resistor wouldnt be the most ideal solution. would probably get too damn hot for one.

    cheers just what i need, much better then a resistor.
