Hi, I'm looking to convert auto VK into a manual - Bits are getting harder to source here in NZ so as I am a fitter turner I will modify the old auto pedal box into a manual by modifying a 6 cylinder clutch pedal and shifting the pedal pivot point. There is plenty of good pics on here around the pedal and pivot point but I'm struggling to find a good pic of exactly where the cable damper sits.
There is obviously a tube that pokes through the firewall for the damper to sit inside that I will need to add to the pedal box but trolling through the internet I cannot see how this is retained!
If any one has a pic of this with a couple of ruler dimensions of how far is sits proud of the firewall i would be very grateful!

Would happily post the mods as I do them so others can do the same

naah mate... no tube

the cable goes thru the dampener which sits on a sort of seal
insulator thingy that sits on the firewall

will see if I can upload a pic from the GMH parts or service manual
(which from memory shows this)
