VK Vin Number

Hi all, any help would be apreciated... Trying to check vin to VK Commodore, but can't work out the engine code, Just wondering if it might be the 4.9ltr as i can't find the engine code for it... But saying that, i'm sure the 4.9ltr only came out in the Group A...

8K19GFL1*****K

I know it's:
8 = Holden
K = SL Commodore
19 = Sedan
G = ?????????
F = 1986
L1 = Adelaide Built
***** = Serial Number
K = VK

I looked everywhere, found engine codes for:
T = 5ltr V8
L = 3.3ltr carby 6
K = 3.3ltr EFI 6
N = 1.9ltr Carby 4 (new zealand market only)

G = 4.9

All the other numbers look correct.

Yep as above.
G- 5.0L/4.9L manual VK
A- 5.0L/4.9L auto VK

Engine code on body I.d. Plate
ENG- LV2 = 4.9L

Thanks for the quick response... Was sure it was the 4.9L as i couldn't find the vin codes for it.... This car is missing the body id plate, so couldn't get the engine model off it...

Used to work for Holden back then,the last models in 85 all got 4.9's fitted as they had heaps leftover. we sent several to Shortland tip in newcastle :bomb:
