Hi guys I have an 86 Vk Holden currently with an LS1 fitted running a T350 auto box.
I am wanting to change this out to a 6 speed manual.

what are the pro and cons of a T56 Vs. TR6060?

The TR6060 is much more available where I am from (NZ).

thanks for your help!

Size will be the issue. I think the 6060 is a little bigger in some places.

im about to put a TR6060 in my vk to replace the poor wee W55
I used a TR6060 because it was dirt cheap( $1500) this came out of a burnt out VE so a little fire damage
No slip joint on the output shaft so Im using a CV from a R32 skyline drive shaft
stupid remote shifter but not a biggy to mod something to fit
pretty much identical to a T56 in size, but stronger and better syncros
T56 is easier to fit due to the shifter and the slip joint but I cant beat a $1500 gearbox for my usage

my tunnel is already a bit bashed from the w55 but it didnt need to be, I've only had it up un there to check gearstick positioning but it looks like it will fit easy in the tunnel, I may mod the engine mounts a little to lower the whole lot down a few mm , I'm modding the bellhousing at the moment so will know definitely in a couple of weeks

Are you taking this to father's day drags? Time is ticking.

for sure, Im putting the toyota box in it for the meet because I doubt I will have the 6 speed in by then , I think its a w56 I have now , my last one I have left, I've put 3.25s in the back to get a longer 1st, might stick some heavy shock redline in this gearbox to help it out a little, hopefully I can do high 12s-low 13s with rear end ratio, I think the w56 has a shorter 1st than the w58 I pulled out that blew up

The tunnel shouldn't need any mods to fit the Toyota box....So curious why it was bashed up

me being rough about 15 years ago, was going to mount a superT10 dog box with a long shifter- needed to clear the left hand drive mounting of the shifter but just as I was about to purchase found out it was one of those to hot to handle midnight motor specials and didnt want any part of it

I'm also planning on going and aiming for a low 13 (doubt I'll go 12's). Might be worth finding you for a grudge race for fun.
