Hi Guys!

So I have been stalking and checking a few threads out to see how I can resolve some issues with my ride. I thought it was about time that I posted up some pics.

I took these pics when I brought the VL home about 6 weeks ago. So far we have sorted the rear brakes (handbrake assembly was put on upside down n both sides), new pedal box (one from Dellow for a VL rather than the VP pedal box that was in the car).

I will take a few more pics over the coming weeks.

Items that we need to sort next are:
  • Front Brakes replace and bleed
  • Change spirings as it sits too low and handling is noooootttt good
  • Speedo Cable Drive
  • Temp Guage
  • General tidy up internally
  • Paint tidy up
  • more to come....

Stay tuned...

UPDATE!!

Spent some time finally getting the front end sorted.

Turns out the springs look like they are Kings for a 6 cylinder. Replaced with Ultra Lows for a 8. Now handles so much better and sits slightly higher.

When pulling it apart last weekend found one of the rotors scored. So decided to replace them. Found out (through trial and error) I actually have the VT conversion.

So everything has now been sorted in the front end, it handles and pulls up well and I can take it out for a decent drive now. Pics will follow tomorrow if the weather is good.

Next step - Speedo and gauges.. need to sort out what I need to do there..

nice mate, you finally have it up lol.
i thought your pedal cluster sounded like a vp,did they weld the bloody thing in?
and make sure you tape,or put some of the plastic stuff around your wiring near your fuse box or it will get extremely hot.

Thanks mate - I need to get some new pics up and will do if this rain ever stops! You will see what we have done to sort the firewall out :)

The wiring is really the next thing that I will get sorted. Looking at taking it to a auto-elec and get it sorted properly. Hopefully it won't be too many $$$$
