    i got a mate with a nissan pulsar, N14 Q(2LTR) 1991, 105kw atw factory standard.
who do u think will win in a drag?

105 kw at the wheels? or at the fly wheel? because if he has it at the wheels he will kill you but if its flywheel you could possibly have a chance,
lets face it vls arnt the quickest Na car around and its only the turbos that give the vl its rep

if the pulsar is a manual and ur vl is a auto it will kill u most likely depending how good the driver is they maybe small but they do have a bit of power

yeah i'd be backing the Pulsar. VL's are fairly slow but in my experience its off line that it would get killed. 60+ you would take him I reckon.

    Pulsar I'd say.:)

    N/A VLs aren't that bad.

Just got to get it through the assclowns, that drive clapped N/A Autos that try to drag XR6Ts,WRXs,Skylines etc that they're NOT!!! the fastest cars around and stop giving other N/A drivers a bad name.:)

Note: That wasn't directed at you Sabby.

There aint alot of cars left to drag then. The VL N/A auto is in the 10's for 0-100, which since the late 80's, is a rather slow 0-100 time. Unless you are dragging older cars of course.

it is true that the vl's have a kindov slow pick up, but i noticed that it picks up speed once past 50 kms. turboes arnt really my style. i like the stocky.
    nice and original.
thank guys for the replys, keeep em comming.

also this was posted on a pulsar thread and everyone there sed his car will kick mine, i dont care, THE VL LOOKS BETTER

    What about XF Falcons?

I heard that the 4.1 Litre is no better, then the RB30E. (In stock form)

Why don't you just line 'em up and see? ;)

I too reckon the Pulsar will eat you, depending on how good a driver he is.

My mate once beat a Magna (200? model 3.0L?) in his g/f's Pulsar Q with me in the passenger seat. Mind you, he was a gun at flat changing - quickest gear changes I've ever seen!

I reckon if you advance the dizzy and stick some good fuel in it and a CAI of some description you can knock almost a second out of your 0-100 time and give him a good run!: )

    Pajero LWB Wagon, Power/economy what's that ???
VL auto is around 11 sec to 100km/h stock, just extractors will knock nearly a second off that (they like to breathe), putting the VL at 10.0 seconds.
If the Pulsar is a manual you still have a two second shortfall. If it is an Auto you only have a 0.7 shortfall so it may come down to the comparative condition of the motors plus launching skills.
