Folks,

Since rebuilding/working the bejesus out of my black motor factory V8, my fuel conumption is "not quite" what it used to be

To be precise i used to get 400-450 out of a tank on the highway.... i now get 200 on the highway putting as much as i can..

SO I want to put a bigger tank in my car to save me filling up every 100-200 ks, can I bolt an 85L tank straight in as a replacement? Or will I need to look at putting a bigger tank in the boot?

I already have a elec fuel pump running.

Cheers

Yeah I have had it tuned haha... it's a high comp performance engine with a holley 750, 286 crow cam bored out, VN heads that we ported very heavily, like almost doubled the size of the holes heavily. There is nothing I can do to reduce fuel consumption which I am completely cool with.. This engine turns head 300m before I even get to them:rofl:

I just want to put a bigger tank in if I can so I can drive further between refuels. It will cost me the same in petrol either way, I just want to convenience of being able to stop less often.

It should bolt in as long as you have the straps to suit the tank. Might need to cut the Fuel neck down about, not too sure about the VL

I just installed an 85L tank in the VH and had to cut about 2inches off the neck but it all bolts in without any issues.
