well update time
car now has a genuine calais front end and brand new headlights and indicators
also decided to leave the standed exec grill in there for a different look, i think it looks great and have had nothing but compliments about the new look.

let me know what u all think :)

all up the turbo motor and driveline wasnt cheap mate. but in the same breath it was worth it. its a very strong combo that hasnt even seen the start of what its capable of. if your really interested in knowing the price break down of everything PM me :)

LOVE it mate.

Have always been a big fan of VL's. I'll get a VLCT some day ahaha.

I have never seen a VL in that colour. Looks awesome mate!

Good build thread!

nice man. good to see another VL looking the way it should.
The Side by Side pics with the VK look mad as well man.
The Calais front looks way better, nice addition to her.
Now look after it and avoid those altercations with trucks, usually come off second best.

thanks mate, its been a pretty long process but the car is now at the point im pretty happy with and i can now start to enjoy it more :)

still got more ideas than cash but isnt that always the way lol plans for the future are a set of coil overs, bigger brakes (hsv 4 spots) calais lower door moulds painted body colour, but these things will happen over time no rush atm

and yes there is no chance of issues with trucks with this one, strictly a sunday driver on nice roads. the issue with my old one was a truck loosing a whole heap of oil on the highway late at night in wet weather and i was sadly the next car threw and yeah the rest is history.
