Hey guys

just wondering if anyone knows how to or has already seen a post relating to the installation of an oil cooler to a VN V6?

Cheers

You will need an adaptor to screw on before the oil filter, which will allow outgoing and incoming flow. Run fittings from those lines to your oil cooler, and locate it somewhere sensible in front of your radiator :)

Thanks for that.
i have been reading upon the net and seeing pictures an write ups on how they did it all (on different cars - no holdens :( ), most of them had an in/out adapter then a filter relocation kit which moved it then the the cooler itself.

Do you know what type or where i could by the adaptor that goes between the block and the filter so that i dont need the relocation kit???

thanks again.

I used a cooler and a remote oil filter for my system, did try the sandwich adaptor, but decided to go with remote filter.

Think I have my old adaptor here someplace in the garage if you need to have a look at one. Might look for it on the weekend see if its still around or if my nephew has pinched it.

Don't have any pictures at the moment, but will take some on the weekend.

Relocation is better but costs more. Adaptor will work fine though.
