Alright so me and my dad are putting our 5L back together and we have maintanence guide that has ridiculously large tourque specs when comparing to the ones on this forum 117nm-127nm for main bearing caps? Up to 147nm for head studs, I was wondering if anyone can provide their tourque specs would be greatly appriciated. Unfortunatly I cant upload photos as they are too large
Thanks in advance

And when you've installed the main bearings- Gregory's specify the crankshaft turning torque should be no more than 102 N-m with the heads on, 61 N-m with the heads off.
Personally I'd check this torque before I finished reassembling the engine.

Thanks for this, could you provide a spec sheet if possible with all the torques, if any one had access that would be a great help, as it's time consuming have to cross referencing all of the specs if not thats fine.

I agree with Deuce. I wouldn't try the job without a Gregory's or other good manual They're cheap second hand and if you do something wrong or leave a bit out you could have wasted your time .

We have max Ellerys manual, but because of those two figures, I am second guessing bits of it good to have something to cross referce
