What brand caliper kits did you have to go with. I tried buying PBR for the VR and they are NLA. I had to settle for Protex junk and the dust seals wouldn't fit, ended up fitting original SH dust seals that it came with.

If your original Bosch starter is still good, give it a clean up and keep using it.
Say 8,2 to 10 takes cranking pressure from 160psi to 180psi, the bigger cam will have a later intake closing (say 15° example) then it will drop cranking compression back to 160psi.
Therefore the starter still sees the same work as stock.
* All example numbers to give you an idea. I can find actual if you really need to.

If you had a stroker crank, then the starter would see more load with the extra weight to spin - even with matched cranking psi.

If you're looking at a new starter motor forget online. Go to Ashdown Ingram and get an OEX.

Hi torque starter from vs or vt range...they're much smaller & handle hi comp motors easily.

Baxters.com.au were selling them as well as 120 amp alternators few years back.

Also need the even length starter bolts

time to throw some stuff back together for once
finished honing block, then gave it a shampoo and blow dry and lube , and installed ARP main stud kit, ACL race bearings, torqued to 80lbs, crank is back in, spins over nicely, need to set the rear seal, however need to check the piston deck height once more after the block was decked just to see I'm at 0.005" under deck, with ACL flat top pistons

still stuck on direction of camshaft
whether to go small solid roller with wide LS or Hydraulic roller
