Deuce,
the originally thinking as siggested was to use the front cooler as the main trans cooling and use the small remote fan to piggy back to control the final temperature when needed
We could adapt the temperature sensor to the output on front trans cooler, however that would be giving me the temperature out of cooler.
If I'm going to break into the -8 trans line, thought it would be better to adpater temp sensor as close to the trans as possible to get more accurate temperature, then anything after this should be cooler
However the fan/remote cooler will be activated at 175 F (79C) as this is fixed
Alternatively could dial temperature in with something like the following, and this could be placed near trans output
I'm just thinking that current #2 remote temp fan/cooler is 5M of line distance from trans actual ATF exit port so those temperature coming out of trans is going to be different than what the cooler is going to see. How much different thats unknown factor
I doubt temp will change much in the line from cooler A to cooler B.
Maybe put sensor in the pan. Therefore if fluid returning to pan doesn't drop temp sufficiently, then the fan comes on.

Wait, it goes pump - cooler - trans - sump (I think)
So that idea would be turning fan on / off based on temp before it has gone through either cooler

The switch l use to turn the fan on for the tranny cooler is. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/265063183877
Fitting is a -6. It screws into the inlet external trans cooler.
I had a diagram for the fitting. Can't find it.

I thought the it dumps back into the pan after the cooler. But found this.

And it looks like after returning from the cooler it goes to "lube" which makes me think it's just dumps into the top of the case around the working parts as the lubricant and free flows back down into the sump.

Lex, although not stated looks to be 1/8" NPT, that is something similar to what was going to do however need AN8 fitting

so inside auto output fitting is 1/4" NPS to AN8 (could of gone AN6) which output is same for most GM trans: GM turbo 350, Turbo 400, 700R4, 4L60E

I need to order few more fittings, so will include the adapter in next round of purchases this week

VN V8 remote oil cooler
Lucky had most of the fittings, line, and oil filters, so no real costs, apart from $35 worth of aluminium for brackets, rubber P-hose fittings, and oil pressure gauge
Had to shorten the AN12 hoses to fit
Happy how it turned out
Tucked up under guard
Just need to reinstall the vacuum ball/tank
another job completed

Need to move on to oil pump to siort out whats happening here

thanks for the flow diagram its interesting looking at the web of lubricating the auto, also shows you how complex the galleries are in the valve body. The trans line to coller appears to be the bottom connection which is how I was intending to route the lines, although I'm holding off until I hear back from Aeroflow, as interested to hear what there interuptation is

Power Steering VN V8 bleeding system
Filled the reservoir up with Penrite AT Fluid, the time you purchased a litre wasnt much difference compared to normal dexron 3
rigged up my battery drill with punch had the young fella move steering wheel lock to lock 15x to purge any air
seems no leaks (review after 24 hrs), drill was spinning approx. 900 rpm
could of rigged up electric drill to get a few more rpm
However seems there was no air bubbles in reservoir when finished
