VEGTS BUILT BLOWN E85
would have thought they would be a balanced set even just making 8 of the same they should be pretty much bang on just with the accuracy of the manufacturing process, maby weight the bolts alone see if one maby is different

have made contact with SCAT
However before ordering will check the rod bolts, as didn't think there would be that much difference, then again have a set of BBC 6.385" Carrillo rods here and checked the weights and found there is a larger difference in bolt materials

Same rod different bolts:
brand of bolt total weight mains BE
Bolts: weight of rod: BE: SE:
WMC bolts 807 579 228
Carr bolts 815 587 228
ARP2000 824.5 598.5 226

However, I'm expecting the engine builder gave this the once over, however may have to go for a run to check myself to be sure
cheers

finally finished the cleaning job under car, with one coat of KBS chassis paint on
could do with another coat just to get good coverage
Looking like chassis connectors will be shipped from Adelaide at end of week ready to to bolt next week

Would be keen on review on ck racing chassis connectors....

Was interested in them for my ute but tuff mounts rear sway, adustable uppers & eventually reinforcing to control arm brackets is all they really really need untill power levels get silly

Prefer tuff mounts version with trimmed section to fit bigger tyres.

Got tubular arms on back of a vh but it's got big ass rubber & full spool...other cars I've torn bushes out of control arms & even unpicked top control arm brackets off the bodyshell but never bent lower control....moreso in realm of silly power levels

Not going to hurt if know how to weld braces on yourself.

Slap a vortech on the 355 & slicks got more chance snapping axle or twisting borg warner diff housing lol

decided to go this way and purchased the gussets this morning, only a little more stuffing around, so get some added bonus of stiffening the suspension up a little, so rubbers can do there job

good news after full day in garage upside down painting car belly, managed to put 2nd coat of chassis black
Managed to put more paint on the car than myself,
job now finished, thank god for that
came up great
used 1.5 litres of KBS chassis black satin

still waiting for gussets and chassis connectors

Pulled out fuel tank, made sure all the vents were not blocked
need to organise the hoses this week then tank can be fitted under car
  • fuel tank
  • fuel pumps
  • fuel and brake lines to go in once chassis connectors installed as have a feeling may need to move the hard lines
  • H-beam rod should be on the way from Scat
good to start putting stuff back on the car now
