Looking really good. Was that applied by spray gun or brush?

i was going to use spray gun, but car was close to ground on dollies, and thought I would be eating more overspray than necessary. So just used brush, and cleaned it out every 30min to keep paint flowing. This way managed to load up the seems and joints. and 2nd coat makes big difference with coverage.. used satin not gloss

back to fuel tank this morning,
decided too much black under car needed to change fuel tank to silver colour
  • fitted breather lines
  • cleaned up fuel tank filler
  • cleaned up the plastic shield, needs a coat of paint to tidy up
  • need to get the submissable 5/16" fuel line sorted inside tank and then can bolt up tank up with fuel pumps

gussets for lower control arms came through post few days ago
they sat nicely on the control arm
welded up tonight the rear control arms, and applied first coat of chassis paint
needs another coat
  • waiting for chassis connectors to turn up
  • ordered the 5/16" submissable fuel tank hose
  • Got notification from Scat conrods on the way

  • sorted out fuel tank straps, had picked up some rubber from Clark rubber, worked out great
  • gave the fuel tank another coat of silver
  • purchased some 10mm sound deadener, laid the insulation over top of tank, not sure how it will go positioning tank in place, ran a tap through the tank threads just clean them up, looks like you can get quite a long 3/8" unc bolt on to strap which will help with install
  • can't do anything with tank, until the 5/16" submersible fuel pump hose arrives...should of ordered earlier
  • installed the rear shocks into sub-floor
  • upper control arms installed
  • lower control arms another coat of KBS chassis black, will install tomorrow morning
  • once fuel tank sorted and pump installed inside tank, fuel tank can be installed
  • was thinking of upgrading to adjustable panhard link
  • need to order new rear sway bar links and bushes
  • then diff can be thrown under car

  • cleaned up rear sway bar took it back to metal. Bushes look okay, will be painted chassis black, might just fit it up and see what happens
  • need new rear sway bar link bushes, cleaned up the links
  • top spring pad like new, no need to replace
  • bottom spring bad knocked around, will upgrade to Nolathane
  • all other rear suspension parts look good

Colour choices
Thinking ahead with paint, original colour is Maranello red (IF075), however another colour which is close is Rosso Maranello (106B), not too sure what the difference is and whether they are both solid colours or 106B is in fact metallic
was thinking of painting the car myself, not sure whether this is the right think to do
