VN Bottom Airbox V6 & V8

    Wondering if the bottom piece of the airbox is the same for the v6 and v8? as in the need of one, and will be hitting wreckers tommorow.

    VN-VP-VR-VS V6 is the same, not sure on the v8

    yes the bottom half of the box are exactly the same

    i think have an airbox here you can have for free (bottom section only)
    i modified it by cutting another hole beside the one where the air duct goes.
    made a nice difference in performance and it also made the exhaust louder/growlier.

    Don't you mean the intake noises?

    just come and get it anyway, saves you cuttingout oyur own hole.
    then just sell the other box for a small loss

    Can anyone tell me what this air sucking noise is in my Vn sounds like a wind tunnel under car when yu put your foot down feels like its taking in air ive looked for hole in muffler-exhaust have changed air filter and put in ne gaskets love to hear any veiws on this thanx in advance

    exhaust manifold gasket perhaps?

    do this on a dead cold motor

    start your car and pour water over the gaskets, if you see bubbles you have an exhaust leak from the gaskets.

    is it a 6 or an 8?
    mine has a pretty loud induction noise when i plant it

    dunno if it's common, but i had the intake arm between the air box and the TB came partially disconnected at the TB end, guess you could check if it's the same prob on yours
