Come on Renno, get this thing back together, LOL. The gauge looks sweet. You sorted out your wheels yet?
lol its gettin there Nick .........nah the wheels are down on the list now as i cannot make up my mind and will have to see after the brakes are done, as to what rims will fit over the new setup.....
....considerin i have the tank booked in for paint on monday....i might be on MCK this weekend comming up....so Gilbs....ITS DUEL TIME!!!!! lol...
**Update** Picked these up for $61 today from U-Pull-It Lonsdale.... I also managed to get the steeringwheel out of the car too, so i now have 2 of the SV3800/Walky Steerinwheels sitting in my room ready to be retrimmed for the calais'... The plan is to get some Caprice electric seats (that i have already sourced, just need to buy) and put the SV3800 foams onto them and then get them retrimmed..... Also the fuel tank will be painted by Wednesday next week, so hopefully after 3 weeks they will have finally painted it lol!......
Nice pick up on the SV interior, mine got sold for a lot more than $61 when i sold mine, but it was in a lot better condition, the rear seat is no different to a standard one, just with the SV trim on it and holes for the headrests, i still have a backseat backrest here in my shed from my old one too......
Thanks mate Yeah was thinking that the rear looked similar to my stock vn one lol! Ill still get the lot retrimmed keepin the SV style but with a more luxury look to them....so many ideas lol... lol any time Dave....just give me a head start lol!
**Update** Got my tank straps back yesterday.....mmm chrome lol... And today i thought id start my suspension hunt and begin gathering the parts for a complete overhaul..... Went to Car Torque (thanks Gilbo for the heads up on these guys, there minds are full of info) and got myself some of the stuff that will be helping the VN through the hills and around Adelaide... I got a Whiteline mid mount alloy strut brace for the front end... Also a Whiteline on-car adjustable panhard rod.... And for $30 more than a fixed sway bar i got a 27mm Whiteline blade type adjustable heavy duty front swaybar.... I also got my self a rear version of this sway bar on order (have to pick it up in a week).. Also i went to the crash shop and the tank is smoothed and primered, so paint goes on 2moz and ill have it on thursday or friday lol....
Yes we do dave Ummm to be totally honest i wouldnt have a clue! I was just going to run it off a switch to begin with, but Chris (PREDATR) had a spare tuned memcal for the thermos lying around so we put it in mine.... Could be what mine was set to lol... I will damo....i will
Hmm yeah that was one of my thoughts, but im using an Alpine White/Quicksilver/Chrome theme for the whole car so once a few more things are done (like VP Calais window surrounds and painted brake calipers and hubs), it should all fit in nicely)
