Vn Calais Lcd Dash lights not working?????

Hey guys new to forum! I have a VN Calais and the 3 window LCD screens don't light up properly! the left one doesn't light up at all, half of the middle one and all of the right one but very dim. there is no bleeds and all the info is there just not lighting up!! How do i fix it? do i need a new cluster or can id be fixed? i would rather fix it than buy a whole new cluster but any help would be Greatly Appreciated. the speedo temp fuel taco all work and light up fine. The globes are blown most likely.

Pull the cluster out and check the globes.

Swap all the globes out with LEDs while your at it, the VN cluster never lit up decently from new anyway.

How do i get to the globes for the lcd screen ? i have replaced the taco etc with leds but couldnt see globes for the lcd unless i need to take it apart????

You need to take it apart, but be VERY careful- the trip computers seem to get very brittle with age. There are four globes by memory. LED's are a good replacement which you will find on ebay,, but mind they are wide angle in their illumination. I installed some and they simply lit up bright splotches and left the rest of the display dim.

What globes are these and where do i buy them they are different to the standard cluster ones ???

That's them. Make sure you plug in the trip computer separately to the cluster to make sure they work before you put it all back together. (separate wiring plug for the trip comp should make this easy by memory)

cool its all apart just waiting on the globes they should be here by next Monday ive had a thought i wanna change my lights to red so i brought the same as above in red too and also ordered some for the taco etc but how do i get rid of the green ????? any ideas also painted my needles red !
